The USS Atlantis is currently in orbit around the planet Stannis VII. Unidentified hostiles, presumed to be Raiders from the Rim of the Alpha Quadrant, have struck the agricultural colony located on one of the planet's many islands. Their strike used nuclear weapons and completely devaastated the colony leaving only a crater and radioactive rubble. The attack also hit the transport Maritimer carrying new families to augment the exisiting colonists; all hands were lost on the Maritimer. Just prior to the attack on the colony two Star Furys were conducting a routine survey of the planet when they were attacked by what appeared to be Star Furys that had been modified by unknown forces. In the ensuing firefight Atlantis lost a Fury and a pilot. Discovery of the perps and retribution is now the mission of Atlantis and its crew.
