The Cadecus class medical ship was conceived by
Star Fleet Command and Star Fleet Medical to provide a mobile platform
capable of dealing with almost any medical problem anywhere in the
Federation. Able to attain high warp speeds, the ship can quickly arrive
to any location it would be needed. Equipped with a mobile hospital
capable of detaching from the main hull and atmospheric flight as well
as surface landing, the Cadecus is able to land a portable multi leveled
field hospital almost anywhere. The Cadecus is able to house a full crew
of 1100 Star Fleet Personnel as well as over 1000 dedicated medical
personnel, capable of converting Cargo Bays into refugee centers the
Cadecus is also able to hold over 20,000 people in need of evacuation.
Because of its medical nature, every level is equipped with
Holo-Emmiters giving the ships multiple emergency holographic programs
the ability to move to any location needed. The ship was developed in
co-operation with an Experimental Star Fleet Special Operations Team
known as Para-Rescue, and keeps 150 of these personnel onboard. |
